The Consumer Engagement Marketing Segment Lead is responsible for leading the development, execution and optimization of a full set of Consumer Engagement Programs for the Planner, Affluent and Established segments across our highest value and most developed markets including the USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada and Australia. This role, reporting to the Head of Consumer Engagement for Core Markets, will develop deep insight into our Planner, Affluent and Established customers, using this insight and customer analytics to develop and optimize programs to drive adoption, engagement and retention within these key consumer segments for PayPal’s future growth. They will work collaboratively with the Creative Lab, Growth Lab, and the team of Marketers across these geographies to execute brilliantly in-market and to deliver ambitious growth goals. Success will be defined by the delivery of customer outcomes including growing the customer value and retention of our Planner, Affluent and Established customers and in growing brand esteem, momentum, and differentiation so that PayPal is positioned as a beloved world-changing brand for the next generation of digital consumers. Responsibilities • Develop game-changing customer engagement programs across the funnel to drive growth in new customer adoption, customer engagement and retention and to strongly position PayPal in our Core Markets • Partner with the Core Customer Acquisition team and Co-Marketing & Partnership teams to understand the dynamics and behaviour of customers coming into the segments and the merchants and partners that can be leveraged to deliver the best customer outcomes. Collaboration with the PayPal Credit team will also be important in delivering a cohesive cross sell strategy for PayPal Credit. • Partner with the Analytics and Insight teams to measure effectiveness of the programs in-market, developing and executing optimization plans, collaborating with internal partners where required. • Partner effectively with internal teams to deliver best in class marketing. Deliver world-class marketing briefs to our internal partners to enable co-creation of game changing marketing programs. Partner with our Growth Lab to move core customer metrics across the funnel and to optimize the reach and effectiveness of our channels, partner with our Creative Lab to develop delightful and engaging creative and partner with our Marketing Operations team to effectively optimize our data & technology capabilities. • Collaborate closely with local country marketing teams, who will be imaginatively localizing your marketing programs to emotionally connect with consumers in each market. Foster a team spirit where local marketers are included in the development of programs, and are regularly informed of the performance of the programs we have created together. • Contribute to building a high-performance marketing team renowned for accountability, executional excellence, business impact and teamwork
