This role will support communications and engagement for the Global CFSS group. They will develop a strategy for global communications within the Global CFSS function ensuring messages are efficient and effective.

PayPal have an exciting opportunity available for a Communications Engagement Specialist to join the Global Communications team, reporting to the Global Communications & Events Manager you will be responsible for the following areas;


Core Duties:

Communications

  • Develop a strategy for global communications ensuring messages are efficient and effective.
  • Draft /proof-read all internal employee communications for Global Customer Operations
  • Draft and deliver change management communication plans and support implementation of global change management programmes.
  • Support Global CFSS VP with their messaging and communications strategy. 
  • Develop processes for communicating using a suite of communication channels ensuring that messages are clear, effective and efficient.
  • Align communication messaging to the global PayPal communication strategy
  • Manage coordination of town halls meetings and All Hands
  • Support the leaders by developing communications aligned to the execution of the employee survey action plan
  • Manage proactive internal communication calendars that include all major milestones.

Employee Engagement

  • Develop bespoke functional recognition / incentive programmes that support business goals. 
  • Drive awareness of recognition programmes, and winners across the organisation
  • Drive awareness and participation of the Affinity groups – Unity (Women @PayPal), Pride (LGBT), Gives (charity), Green (environmental)  through leader communication and participation in events. 
  • Manage and mentor the Communications Intern.

Knowledge and Proficiencies:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and consistently deliver results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and work collaboratively
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to direct and motivate others
  • Ability to lead through vision and values
  • Skill in focusing on desired results, determining what is important and urgent, clarifying next steps, and delegating effectively to meet deadlines and achieve desired results.
  • Strong working knowledge of external systems, PC based internet and software applications (Internet, Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel)

Desired Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in communications, event management, employee engagement, and / or public relations
  • Experience working with global cross-functional organisations
  • Experience working with senior executives
  • Experience managing a team located remotely


Education requirements:

Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience required
