The Commercial Program Manager is a member of the Global Sales Operations org and acts as the central point of contact for driving commercialization of initiatives coming from Commercial Initiative Council (CIC) at PayPal. Product, Pricing, Compliance and other teams present new products/pricing/other initiatives to CIC for sales prioritization and execution.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Responsibility to centrally coordinate efforts with cross functional Analytics, Compensation, Sales Enablement and Sales Tech teams to ensure that the product/pricing/pilot initiatives are synchronized for sales execution after being prioritized by the CIC
  • Work with PMM/Product and in-market Sales teams to refine pilot/merchant lists provided by PMM based on sales criteria applicable per market
  • Validate the commercial readiness checklist for the CIC from central and local market perspectives and identify deficiencies to the originators of the initiative such as PMM, Pricing, or Compliance teams
  • Work with Compensation team to define the compensation structures (Uplift frameworks, Quotas, Accelerators, Multipliers, etc.) for new product/pilot/pricing initiatives and get approvals from Compensation Committee
  • Determine budget impacts from Comp Payout structure across various markets (Core & Intl) and segments (Enterprise, Inside, Partner, SME) and get approvals from Comp Committee. This includes any incentives required for the Servicing team as well.
  • Work with Analytics team to create models for Uplift framework where applicable and create dashboards, tracking and reporting methodologies for measuring initiative success
  • Work with Sale Tech (ETX) team to add new products and initiatives to flow families in Salesforce and also provide inputs to ETX team to make changes to other software tools (e.g. Admins tools)
  • Work with ETX team to conduct UAT for compensation/reporting flow changes and rollout comp flow related systemic changes to Live Production sites & get sign off from Audit perspectives
  • Work to partner tightly with Sales Enablement and Customer Success Manager PMO teams to ensure that local teams are ready to action on the initiatives to meet stated objectives
  • Calibrate sales pipeline stages and reporting in cases of new acquisition’s products where applicable
  • Execute Sales Campaigns with support of local Sales Leaders and ensure the key KPIs are met
  • Coordinate pipeline updates and conduct weekly readouts on performance of Sales Campaigns to sales teams & leaders
  • Ensure last mile campaign support is provided by the relevant functions in case additional information is locally needed by the sales teams from system process, documentation, and overview updates perspectives

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions
