A typical day for the Commercial Growth Manager will include:
• You will be a key member of the CEMEA Team to mainly accelerate Cross Border Trade (CBT) business.
• Proving end-to-end business ownership of Commercial Growth Initiatives including development, execution, project management roles as well as the point of contact for global initiatives focusing on CBT.
• Developing and initiating CBT strategy; conducting regular performance analysis and presenting back findings and insights and drive data driven solutions to senior management teams.
• Ensuring all global and regional initiatives are operating in alignment with CEMEA strategy and targets are measured in a transparent and digestible format.
• Collaborating with team members across CEMEA and interacting with Business Units and Support Functions.

What does Success Look Like?  

  • You have successfully managed selected regional CBT initiatives, taken full responsibility for managing them as well as ensuring roadmap, milestones and KPI’s were met.
  • You have provided in-depth regional assessment, identified opportunities and created appropriate measures to exploit these opportunities.
  • Monitored sub-initiatives and reported to your manager on a regular basis.
  • You have provided full transparency across all initiatives as part of the CEMEA strategy and prioritization agenda, facilitated the alignment of targets and identifying resp. orchestrating any trade offs if required.
  • Collaborated closely with many cross-functional units.
  • Managed a virtual team and point of contact for any related topics with your initiatives.
  • Built and maintained relationships with Global CBT, Regional MS and other teams.

About You  

  • You have knowledge of financial services, online products and market dynamics; understanding of PayPal’s strategic and competitive position.
  • You have large-scale project management experience with a track record of effectively delivering large-scale and/or multiple projects at one time in very fast-moving environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills; ability to develop strategy, business plans, customer and market insights, analyze campaign effectiveness/ROI.
  • You have strong financial analysis experience with ability to create complex business cases and drive scenario creation to support decision-making.
  • Ability to provide direction and prioritize team goals and workload.
  • Ability to influence at all levels and work effectively across functions and geographies.
  • You have an undergraduate degree from a leading university and ideally a Masters or MBA.
  • You have a background in consulting, investment banking, venture capital or multi disciplinary role (Growth, Strategy, Commercial/Business Development, Analytics) in a fast-paced organization.
