CLAC Governance Risk and Compliance Manager

  • Serve as a credible business partner to executives and other high level internal contacts in the region
  • Manage key relationships with business leadership in the market as well as advocacy and industry groups, and other external stakeholders
  • Create policies, strategies, and processes to enable business growth while ensuring compliance with legal requirements
  • Work with Operations and Operational Excellence to operationalize policies and guidelines
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to accomplish shared objectives
  • Execute against the requirements of the GGRC program
  • Support management and operations with problem solving on legal and regulatory issues
  • Support Government Relations and the Fraud Investigations Team with law enforcement and other regulatory matters
  • Focal point for any regulatory relations in the region. Liaising with Government, regulators and other administrative authorities to propose initiatives on behalf of PayPal in the region. 
  • Support and when possible, anticipate/identify risk scenarios and proposing potential mitigations.
  • Assure that all supervisory and investigative proceedings conducted over PayPal in the Region are carried out within highly ethical legal standards and according to the due process of law established in each country code of conduct and code of process.
  • Risk assessment execution and action plan oversight
  • Issue management and reporting
  • Complaints Management and root cause trend analysis and remediation measures
  • Product Approvals

  • Proven ability to communicate, collaborate and manage relationships with high-level internal and external stakeholders on matters having significant business impact
  • Leadership and judgment to analyze, evaluate, develop and effectuate solutions to complex problems
  • Team player with creativity, resourcefulness, a passion for problem-solving, comfort with ambiguity, and interpersonal acumen
  • Ability to prioritize among many conflicting needs, advocate a course of action, and pursue it consistently, while remaining flexible and responsive to dynamic situations
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and innovatively and proven track record for delivering results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and facility for drafting important policy documents
  • Strong ability to source, manage and analyze data to drive risk management strategies and decisions
  • High energy and a desire to work in a results- and team-oriented, rapid growth environment
