The CI Business Operations Director will serve as the trusted advisory to the Global Head of Compliance Investigations. Will partner with the Head of Compliance Investigations and the senior leadership team to ensure effective and data driven problem solving, decision-making, execution, and communication strategies are deployed across teams globally. The incumbent will support PayPal Compliance Investigations operations through helping to develop strategy, assess process effectiveness and areas of refinement in order to drive the continual evolution of the program. Capable and can thrive in high paced, high demand situations and finding innovative solutions. Able to work and design in areas that may have minimal information and direction. This person will also oversee vendor and partner relationships ensuring that all desired performance and oversight aspects are met.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as an internal consultant and change agent, collaborating closely with different teams to achieve results while also challenging and improving established ways of working;
  • Partnering with other leaders translate broad directives or goals into tactical strategy and implementation plans;
  • Work with a global team of leaders supporting operational needs and strategies;
  • Serve as the primary liaison to key stakeholders and oversee the planning and execution of key meetings;
  • Establish KPIs and other metrics with key stakeholders and senior leaders;
  • Partner with peers and stakeholders to drive alignment;
  • Skilled communicator both orally and in drafting effective presentations;
  • Drive and at times independently run special projects and strategic initiatives;
  • Preparing and facilitating key meetings;
  • Proactive identification of developing issues;
  • Drafting CEO communications and presentation materials;
  • Lead holistic leadership team operations, including coordination of work streams, strategy design, planning, and execution;
  • Resilient, high achievement orientation leader with mental flexibility;
  • Capable of leading teams both formally and informally;
  • Aid in communication to the broader team and surface key issues for the Leadership team’s awareness and action.

Skills/Experience

  • 10+ year experience gained in leadership roles in Banking, Technology, Strategy, Growth, and Consultancy. First-hand experience of business transformation initiatives, reporting, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with project leadership and hands-on execution. Can bring structure and multi-task across work streams, driving them forward.
  • Experienced in business case development, market and opportunity sizing and preparing strategic recommendations for senior executives.
  • Data-driven. Highly numerate and comfortable analyzing and determining business performance data. Experience with business intelligence solutions desirable.
  • Process improvement and design experience
  • Experienced in building strong relationships with people from different functions and backgrounds; comfortable communicating and interacting with senior executives. Can deliver results and gain buy in within a matrix organization.

Education/Certifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree required
