As a Lead Technical Product Manager in the Consumer Risk team, you will be responsible for defining the long term strategy and leading various projects towards the end-state and in support of business objectives driven by either the risk team or our partner product managers driving new customer experiences.

The ideal candidate is driven by making an impact and can:

  • Understand and distill business objectives for projects impacting $100M+
  • Reconcile business objectives with end to end customer experiences for new products
  • Leverage data and business understanding to ensure new and existing products manage risk while giving our customers great experiences  
  • Partner with engineers, architects, project managers, business units and other product managers to evangelize the best solutions and facilitate execution across various stakeholders.
  • Get hands-on with data analysis and customer research to drive discovery and ensure the right problems are identified along with the most fitting solution
  • Define the strategy and multi-year roadmap for a broad set of domains impacting a common objective to ensure we take on the right projects and align our solutions towards a common end state
  • Act as a leader and mentor for other product managers

Job Description:

  • Define product requirements and lead successful execution of initiatives
  • Engage closely with engineering and architecture in Agile methodology to help determine the best technical implementation/design while balancing time-to-market needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams at PayPal and external partners to design, build, launch, and market new payment capabilities
  • Use A/B Testing, analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to drive decision making
  • Define and proactively monitor key performance metrics to support and inform product decisions. Engage in problem solving with analytics to determine trends and root causes.
  • Partner with Customer Support teams in solving pain points for our users.
  • Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure the products we deliver are within regulatory boundaries.
  • Define a product launch plan for your area, including identifying new opportunities as well as maintaining a rolling marketing roadmap of projects or iterations.
  • Mentor other product managers and consistently share and evangelize our strategies
