• Identifying, tracking and communicating market insights, dynamics & untapped opportunities • Lead/co-leading Strategic Planning Initiatives as well as business review sessions • Support the management team with planning, organising and coordination • Coordinating with teams and prepare slide decks for executive and other major presentations/events. • Proactively identify issues, areas of enhancements which provides value added insights and lead/implement strategic initiatives • Designing and/or improving processes and channels to communicate business performance; leading the communications with the NEU team on business updates and milestones • Ability to navigate ambiguity across the organization to deliver business outcomes • Leading or participating in other key commercial growth initiatives

The Northern Europe (NEU) Business Operations Manager combine analytical, strategic and executional skills to support the NEU GM and Site Leader in managing the Northern Europe franchise. Hen leverage their skills across a broad range of initiatives in different parts of the business, but always with the aim of driving the growth of PayPal NEU. These activities include performance management and reporting, business case development, internal consulting, leading strategic initiatives, launching new products or business lines and project or programme management.

The Business Operations Manager will be a key member of the NEU leadership team, reporting to the GM Northern Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, tracking and communicating market insights, dynamics & untapped opportunities
  • Lead/co-leading Strategic Planning Initiatives as well as business review sessions
  • Support the management team with planning, organising and coordination
  • Coordinating with teams and prepare slide decks for executive and other major presentations/events.
  • Proactively identify issues, areas of enhancements which provides value added insights and lead/implement strategic initiatives
  • Designing and/or improving processes and channels to communicate business performance; leading the communications with the NEU team on business updates and milestones
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity across the organization to deliver business outcomes
  • Leading or participating in other key commercial growth initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Prior business experience in fast paced agile environment preferably in consulting
  • Background in project management with an ability to work and lead cross-functionally with external and internal teams including Finance, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Risk, Support and Operations
  • Track record of excellent execution, a hands-on 'get things done' mind set, good verbal and written communication skills and story telling.
  • Self-starter, able to operate independently and be successful with limited need for guidance
  • Customer focused, naturally including customer perspective in plans, decisions and actions
  • Energetic and positive, with a 'can do' attitude
  • Advanced skills in key tools such as Microsoft Office and experience working with Salesforce.com would be desirable

Preferred Qualifications

  • The individual will need to have an enquiring mind, a proactive nature, an interest in leading initiative, commercial acumen and a fascination for discovering insights, trends and business opportunities.
  • Experienced in building fruitful relationships with people from different functions and backgrounds; comfortable communicating and interacting with senior executives
