Come join the Technology Platforms & Experiences (TPX) Business Operations team. We promote solid execution and fact-based decision-making across the organization; acting as the ‘connective tissue’ that links all aspects of the organization seamlessly. The TPX organization designs, builds and operates the technology foundation of the company, including core infrastructure, security architecture, engineering & operations, site reliability engineering, corporate IT, developer tools and frameworks, and company architecture and future technology innovation. The TPX Business Operations team works together to ensure our operating model, OKR’s, investment plan and portfolio are designed and implemented to deliver against the defined strategy. You will work alongside fellow Business Operations counterparts, as well as cross-functionally across Finance, Program Management, Operations, and Product to drive forward various initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring initiatives achieve their OKR’s on schedule and reporting progress against OKR's to senior leadership. Below are the detailed responsibilities for this role:


  • Guide execution efforts in partnership with our operational, product, and cross-functional teams to ensure achievement of strategic initiative outcomes. Develop and communicate strategic narratives for key verticals/initiatives and ‘white space’ opportunities for the TPX portfolio
  • Develop and implement best practices across operating rhythms and routines
  • Drive process improvement and effectiveness including troubleshooting operational issues as they surface; propose changes to systems / process to fix root causes
  • Create frameworks to help structure the team’s thinking, drive visibility, and facilitate alignment
  • Work closely with leaders across the organization to develop goals and Objectives and Key Results; develop systems for managing performance against those goals
  • Support day to day operations and delivering on strategy and operational plans from the planning process against the strategic vision for PayPal
  • Build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive influence

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • 5+ years of related business and leadership experience
  • Solid strategic planning skills combined with exceptional execution
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with the ability to analyze data and reports
  • Collaborative mindset with leadership capabilities and the ability to influence
  • Clear, strategic thinker with vision, with the ability to execute on priorities
  • Advanced power point presentation skills and an ability to present to senior stakeholders  

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively work under pressure and to meet challenging targets
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions
  • Ability to identify and pursue new improvement opportunities in line with business plans

  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint
