The BI Analyst is primarily responsible for aspects of database and analysis on WFM data, that include but not limited to: routing, scheduling, efficiency, collaboration, for both front office and back office.

  • Provide and execute on a data driven approach to workforce management through designing, coding, testing, debugging, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Develop complete BI solutions considering accuracy and reliability that solve problems that we might be facing in day to day work, improve efficiency in every aspect of workforce management and better customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and own database or data warehouse serving as trustful data source for WFM.
  • Develop and own dashboard or reporting with professional and user-friendly visualization.
  • Participate in regular conversations with all stakeholders in and out of our organization.
  • Close collaboration with RTM and schedulers in WFM team understand their needs in terms of data analysis.
  • Close collaboration with various operation business unit and other key stake holders to make sure we can make correct decisions with measurable impacts based on reliable insights that are from trustful data. 
  • Close collaboration with EDS for data onboarding and data governance.
  • Provide critical thinking, technical innovation, and attention to detail while playing as a trusted advisor in the organization.
  • Gain understanding of PayPal businesses and willing to learn from data.

    PRE-REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    The preferred candidate will have a successful track record of problem solving, a “can-do” attitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise positively with all levels of management, in addition to:

  • Strong BI, data warehouse, relational database development and performance tuning skills.
  • Deep knowledge of database systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in data base design and data modeling techniques.
  • Highly proficient in SQL (SQL/Teradata/MySQL).
  • Highly proficient in reporting and visualization tools (Excel/Tableau/MicroStrategy/SSAS).
  • Experience in ETL.
  • Experience in analytical toolkits (R) is a plus
  • Able to communicate clearly across regions.
  • Project management experience would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of operation center or financial institution would be a plus.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information System required or the equivalent professional experience in addition to 2-year work experience in BI, database development, business analysis.
  • Working experience as analyst, database developer, DBA in operation center preferred.
