The Billing Process & Compliance Analyst will lead projects that drive billing-enabled revenue generation for the business units within PayPal, look for cost savings initiatives through end to end process improvement for the billing team and its stakeholders, and lower business related risk by identifying mitigating controls both operationally and financially.

  • Analyze, identify and qualify opportunities for new product features and functions on the billing platform in support of competitive product positioning for PayPal businesses.
  • Provide reporting and analytical support around the performance of billing and payments and the state of the business.
  • Source ideas on how the PayPal Billing group can generate more value to our internal business partners.
  • Enable products and services for our business and technical partners to become more data-driven in enhancing their decision making.
  • Educate other product teams and business units on features and benefits of product and define possible integration potentials for cross-functional features.
  • Understand payment industry and related technology trends, vendor products and services and best practices as related to or applicable to PayPal.
  • Manage billing and payment compliance workstream for assigned business partners.
  • Serve as a project manager for billing and payments projects (product enhancements, new reporting, product integrations, etc.)
  • Manage M&A integrations and represent Global Billing as the Order to Cash SME
  • Develop business case for technology/integration requests to the appropriate platform team.
  • Create and facilitate business reviews based on a communication plan for each business unit. 
  • Review process improvements, fraud and chargeback trends, payment mix, and expansion plans with key stakeholders within PayPal.
  • Advocate for stakeholder product, operational and technology requests within PayPal roadmaps. 
  • Proactively manage regulatory changes and coordinate with appropriate cross-functional teams.
  • Support monthly Proforma reviews as it relates to bill run compliance.
  • Participate in special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.


  • BA/BS Degree
  • 5-7 years relevant work experience in billing and payments operations, systems process design and/or OE roles Required, including experience in high volume, complex general ledger reconciliations
  • Experience with SAP Sales and Distribution module required
  • Experience with Comverse Kenan billing system a plus
  • Experience with Payments knowledge and familiarity with banking payments files a plus
  • Significant skills/experience in analytics and process management
  • Natural facilitator and change agent
  • 3 - 4 years project management experience
  • Experience working with cross –functional and international teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Access
  • Experience working with complex, multi-system environments including data extraction and interfaces
  • System and process architecture, troubleshooting, reengineering and mapping
  • E-commerce and payments industry experience a plus
  • M&A integration experience a plus
