We are seeking an exceptional product manager who is committed to executing and turning great ideas into action. This product manager will help lead growth of BFS by determining effective, creative solutions to enable the next generation of merchant credit.


  • Lead solution discovery for Credit solutions that meet the needs of PayPal merchants.
  • Influence business regarding cross-functional impacts and understanding of needs: helping the business clarify and understand what the problem statements are and what the large- and small-scale impacts of different solutions would be.
  • Lead scope determination for large projects, leveraging holistic view of business needs to properly group or separate in order to create meaningful, well-thought-out pieces of work which can directly impact KPIs
  • Independently lead discussions with BFS leadership, PMO, and other members of Product to effectively prioritize and sequence the workstreams necessary for meeting L1 KPIs for BFS. Use end-to-end resourcing to map out RTB items and projects.
  • Independently collaborate with UED and Content groups to establish design requirements; maintain relationship with various governance and servicing groups to communicate current and future design/content to internal and external partners
  • Review data-driven approaches (customer and user feedback, SWOT analysis and competitive analysis) to identify new product opportunities and enhancements. Identify product gaps, generate new ideas, and influence investment decisions to improve product capabilities.
  • Lead communication and collaboration across other groups in PayPal to research and implement creative product solutions with enterprise-wide benefits.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years proven merchant credit or product experience: must fully understand product functions including solutions and product ownership as well as BFS business processes and needs
  • 2+ years management experience showing thought leadership and ability to influence people and outcomes, especially senior leaders
  • Must be able to independently lead active solutioning and drive multiple projects forward while minimizing churn
  • A positive attitude with a passion for executing and achieving goals
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills a must including the ability to lead productive, efficient discussions and present solutions
  • Must have good problem-solving skills with the demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, to think outside the box of existing solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency
