PayPal is looking for a passionate, self-driven Application Security Developer who can develop tools and frameworks to ensure PayPal software is implemented securely. The Application Security Developer will work InfoSec teams and Product Development teams to identify requirements and implement solutions. This is a technical software development position and will be part of the Application Framework Security Engineering team. Specific Responsibilities 

  • Work with InfoSec teams and Product Development teams to understand and document requirements. 

  • Design and document the planned solutions. 

  • Develop and test the solutions using Agile software development processes. 

  • Work with product teams to deploy the solutions. 

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members. 

Required Skills 

  • Ability to read code and understand complex software architectures regardless of programing language. 

  • Ability to develop and enhance large complex software projects. 

  • Knowledge of web development using HTML and Javascript.  Knowledge of React and/or Dust is preferred but not required. 

  • Knowledge of Application Security concepts such as OWASP Top-10. 
      

Experience Requirements 

  • 3 or more years experience in software development in Java and/or NodeJS. 

  • 3 or more years experience with web development using HTML and Javascript. 

  • 3 or more years experience developing software in a UNIX/Linux environment. 

  • 3 or more years experience working in software engineering organizations in a collaborative team environment.   

  • BS in Computer Science or Equivalent.
