The Business Operation Manager will report to Director of Business Operation, PMO & China Growth based in Singapore. This person is key utility player who will work collaboratively with APAC leaders and their teams to facilitate decision-making, planning and execution to help drive business performance.

The ideal candidate has proven experience working closely with all levels of leadership (senior Execs to line managers) and applying consultative skills, including business acumen, client focus, and the ability to influence and partner. This person will help to drive operational effectiveness through systematic planning and setting up processes, including preparation and execution of Operating Rhythms.
He/She will document execution of priority actions, working with cross functional teams. This person will also help in establishing rhythms to efficiently manage work force (people head count) in the region. This person thrives in a dynamic, global, fast-paced, matrix environment and has a passion for results.

Experience working in Region/across multiple geography is ideal. This is a visible - influencer and enabler role requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. It’s not a role for people who like to operate behind the scenes.

Business Operations tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Work with leadership to document full range of data and information to drive effective decision-making
  • Help in setting up operating rhythm to resolve conflicts and influence action
  • Help in driving specific issues to completion, especially issues that fall between organizations
  • Manage the flow of information from leadership to the rest of the organization, including planning and preparation for events (working closely with head of communications – e.g. All Hands, Regional Quarterly calls, Global Leadership visit)
  • Help in setting up agendas for the leadership offsite and events to achieve desired objectives and outcome
  • Be responsible for workforce planning in the region, which includes:
    • Establishing head count demand pipeline by different functions/BU leadership
    • Work with various functions – Global & Regional Workforce planning, HR and Finance to ensure investment stays within budget
    • Setting up head count review meeting with senior leadership to drive decision and timely actions
    • Communicate on decisions and progress made to drive transparency across wider organization
  • Be the change agent, work with teams through ambiguity to success
  • Prepare progress/status report to communicate across various levels of senior leadership
  • Overall evolve & continuously improve organization operating model including processes, operating rhythm and workforce strategy to enable strategic plan and identify opportunities for simplification, quality and productivity improvement; Deliver the analysis and associated actions necessary to enable continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of work experience in fast paced, across geography, mid-large scale matrix company
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in business operations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal people skills
  • Experience in problem solving, large scale planning & analysis and Operational Excellence
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Project Plan, Visio, Think cell etc.
  • BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred
