This is a Senior Content Owner role within the PayPal APAC Knowledge Management Team. Knowledge Management serves Customer Operations, Risk Operations, CIP and other internal PayPal teams by providing best in class content to assist them in responding to customer questions and issues. The Senior Content Owner is responsible for adapting global English content to meet the needs and specificities of particular markets or regions. This particular role will focus on supporting the Asia Pacific region with a particular focus on India. The Content Owner rarely translates but instead adapts content for product, voice and tone, legal and brand requirements. They own their content and drive to constantly improve it.

The ideal candidate must speak fluent English and Hindi while other languages are a big advantage. They will have content management experience and a strong interest in project and process management, as well as excellent communications skills. They will actively seek out opportunities to drive engagement with our internal content and will instinctively collaborate with teammates to identify opportunities for improvement.

The ability to switch flexibly between tasks and markets is essential. As is the ability to work under pressure, in ambiguous circumstances and in a fast-moving results-oriented environment. The candidate will have a track record of actively engaging with different areas of the business; taking the lead in driving change and acting as an influencer on their team and elsewhere. They will be a strong communicator – both in writing and in person – capable of clearly conveying complex information and ideas to our customers and stakeholders at all levels of the business.

Creativity, ingenuity and invention are a must for Content Owners. Analytical skills are helpful when working with project managers, Go to Market and Product teams to understand new product features, compliance requirements, risk policies, operational processes, and content needs for specific markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILL REQUIREMENTS


The successful candidate will:

  • Create, adapt and maintain content for teammates in our key channels (InfoCenter and Email Generator) and other tools as needed. Work with teammates and Ops leaders to make sure the contents are clear, friendly, and easy to retrieve to serve the intended business needs.
  • Support content for multiple markets across EMEA, NA, LATAM and APAC as required.
  • Support our team goals to drive increased engagement and relevancy of our content by working on process, tools and content improvement projects within the team.
  • Take ownership of all content requirements (FAQs, templates, talking points) for new product launches and strategic initiatives within the company.
  • Contribute to making content tools and processes better by giving feedback but also driving a solution.
  • Manage own tasks with minimal assistance and strive to work independently but know when to ask for help.
  • Communicate effectively cross-functionally.
  • Communicate effectively with people from all types of cultural backgrounds.
  • Report to team, management and stakeholders on regular basis.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a technology environment
  • Background in linguistics, translation or marketing
  • Writing qualification/ background

Education: 

  • BS/BA degree in related field required or equivalent professional work related experience.

Languages:

  • Native level English and Hindi required.
  • Additional languages preferred.
