Job Description:
The Senior Program Manager will report to Director of Business Operation, PMO & China Growth based in Singapore. This person will provide project & program management skills by leading large business programs across the APAC Region. He/she will drive the completion of multiple parallel programs that can span across regional operational functions (Strategy, Product, Legal, Compliance, Government Relations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, PR/Communications) and local country organizations, involving multiple independent & interdependent functional/business work streams. For success, the person should have experience running both ‘business’ and ‘Product/product development life cycle’ programs, and be adept in negotiating across these different worlds.

This person will work closely with all levels of management within the organization, to facilitate tracking of program and project activities – requirements management, driving resolution in case of conflict/roadblocks, document success KPIs and ensure framework/dashboard to track them are in place, drive accountability and ownership in a matrix organization to meet overall commitment on time with quality. This person will be accountable to drive projects/programs to completion to get to desired objectives & goals.

A strong program management and change management background, including experience with Operational Excellence best practices, software development and go-to-market processes is preferred. Experience working within an Internet company a plus. Experience working in Region is ideal, though not absolutely required. This is a visible role requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. It’s not a role for people who like to operate behind the scenes.

Job Responsibilities:


Program management tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Documenting key needs and success criteria for the program, and translating them into measurable KPIs 
  • Defining program and project schedules and resource requirements based on planning methodologies, deliverables, schedules, and tasks
  • Determining budget requirements and working with cross-functional groups to secure funding. Working with cross-functional leaders (Director & above level) and their team members to align required resources to project teams. Establish and maintain key relationships 
  • Aligning executive support for programs
  • Facilitation, coordination and project management of cross functional team tasks and activities
  • Ensure project task accuracy and drive resolution of issues and constraints 
  • Evolving program management process and tools to increase efficiencies of the Program and Project Management disciplines
  • Communicating status, issues, and risks in a comprehensive manner that incorporates the perspectives of all stakeholders, in a timely manner
  • Identifying and resolving problems, planning issues, and project changes. Escalation of unresolved issues requiring executive attention. Ability to segregate noise vs real issues
  • Leading program teams and projects through ambiguity to success

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10-12 years of work experience in large size public company
  • At least 5-7 years of experience managing large scale programs
  • Experience in program management, planning & analysis
  • Proficiency with program management tools – MS Office, Project Plan, Visio, Think cell etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal people skills
  • BA/BS degree required; PMP; advanced degree preferred
