PayPal is seeking an Anti-Corruption Program Analyst to join our team (reporting to the Director of Anti-Bribery and Corruption based in New York) to help develop and implement a robust Anti-Bribery and Corruption (“ABC”) program. This program is part of PayPal’s Global Financial Crimes & Customer Protection team within the Risk and Platforms organization. The Program Analyst will be instrumental in partnering with the Director of ABC to manage bribery and corruption risk throughout the company, and will play a critical role in shaping and growing the ABC program. Among other things, the Program Analyst will help ensure adherence with PayPal policies, as well as global compliance expectations throughout PayPal’s footprint. The Program Analyst will work with business, technology, and compliance professionals to support and execute PayPal’s objectives for the ABC program.

The Program Analyst will:

  • Support the department’s efforts in ensuring compliance across PayPal with our ABC Policy and with all applicable anti-corruption laws and regulations across the globe. The manager raises awareness of the ABC program including third party and intermediary engagement and gift-giving and other corporate hospitality activities. 
  • Promote the Integrity Helpline reporting program with the employee population, supports a “speak up” culture at PayPal where employee misconduct, including potential corruption-related activities, gets reported.   
  • Proactively monitor Travel & Entertainment reimbursement claims from an ABC perspective and liaises with employees and other departments such as Finance and HR on issues identified and remediation actions recommended, including remediation training. 
  • Help with building out of other components of the ABC program as directed by the Director. This includes implementing global intermediaries due diligence program, delivering Compliance trainings, and performing risk assessments and compliance reviews. 
  • Be responsible for creating regular as well as ad hoc reports for senior management and committee/board reporting.

This role requires excellent project management, communication, issue resolution, data analysis and organization skills.  The right person will thrive in dynamic environments, have experience working with technology related projects, lead through ambiguity and complexity, support multiple, simultaneous projects, and have excellent presentation skills. 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Compliance or regulatory experience. Good understanding and grounding in compliance program development.
  • Project management experience essential. Able to follow through and keep different moving parts of a project in check, working across different stakeholders and various interests.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple issues and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize issues and deliverables.  
  • Experience working as part of an ABC program is a plus 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work well with other departments and varying levels of management including very senior executives. Ability to deliver training and awareness programs to groups of employees, public speaking skills necessary.
  • Experience working in a global organization across time zones and across cultures. 
  • Experience and expertise with MS Excel, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong risk and problem analysis skills, including experience proactively identifying problems and risks, finding solutions, and implementing mitigation plans.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in an oversight function such as Legal, Compliance, Finance, Risk, Audit, or Investigations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
