PayPal is seeking accomplished and passionate software engineers to join our team contributing to the exciting future of software products/technologies that fall under our mobile and particularly PayPal's Business Debit Mastercard product family. They will collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain the Business Debit Mastercard servicing experience with both the PayPal Business and Consumer applications, while working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, including design, coding, automated testing, and production releases
  • Be a problem solver and self-driven to get the results
  • Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean code
  • Communicate effectively to peers and leadership on tasks and projects
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, management, cross-functional teams and deliver compelling solutions
  • Passion for code quality, maintainability and testability
  • Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions
  • Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
  • Design interfaces to improve user experience
  • Liaise with Product development team to plan new features
  • Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards
  • Research and suggest new mobile products, applications and protocols
  • Stay up to date with new technology trends

Required Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language i.e. Java
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Familiarity with OOP design principles
  • Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to perform in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS in EE/CS

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in payments processing or payments domain
  • Expertise in enterprise systems integration
