In the past few years the Consumer Product Center (CPC) launched several high profile experiences: PayPal.Me, new PayPal app for iOS and Android, Money Pools and will continue to drive innovation in the field for time to come.
We are looking for passionate and experienced software developers that embrace technical challenges and take pride in delivering great experience to our users.

What does Success Look Like?

In your role as an Android developer you will:

  • Develop exciting new features from the ground up for the new PayPal mobile app.
  • Architect the app to support upcoming features.
  • Work closely with Product and UED to ensure the app is both easy-to-use and delightful for our users.
  • Create beautiful UX using modern design patterns, implement custom animations and page transitions, write tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso frameworks.

In addition to the day to day job, we at the CPC put a strong emphasis on honing your skills and holding weekly “Kata” sessions (free time to work on whatever you like).
We also organize and participate in Hackathons and conferences.

About You

  • At least 4 years experience in either frontend or backend development.
  • Good grasp of software design and design principles
  • Excellent team player and fast learner
  • Has high attention to details
  • Mobile development experience (advantage)
  • Web development experience (advantage)
  • Good Photoshop/Sketch skills (advantage)
  • B.Sc. in Computer science / software engineering (advantage)
  • Technologies: Android Transition framework, Espresso testing framework (advantage)
