You will be part of the Global pricing organization, supporting PayPal’s largest business within NA. We focus on the success of PayPal’s North America business unit by driving quantitative insights, ensuring proper financial controls and discipline. Aligning and improving processes to increase efficiency and foster faster decision making by benchmarking best practices across Americas and implementing new ideas to positively impact pricing performance. This role requires an understanding of the ecommerce landscape and the business models for the partners that integrate on behalf of merchants. You will need to understand partner ecosystems, needs of partners and PayPal solutions to uncover opportunities and design partner specific financials models. In this role, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of pricing projects and responsibilities.

  • Beginning with our core business, you will manage commercial negotiations with our multinational partner portfolio and work closely with cross-functional leads from sales, finance, core payments, risk, marketing, and operations.
  • Collaborating with the Business Unit to make educated pricing decisions and supporting the growth of the business. You will also help put together financial models, pricing proposals and sales stratgey to determine impact on business unit and P&L by managing the incoming pricing requests.
  • Create business cases to justify marketing, integration, and other customer facing investment activities. Forecast, track, and report spend for various merchant agreements on monthly basis
  • Perform portfolio level look-back analysis on pricing and deal performance; leverage insights to optimize pricing strategies and business development terms

Qualifications:

  • Superior relationship-building, influence management and communication skills in interactions with senior leaders, peers, business partners
  • Solid business acumen, which means you can think strategically and ‘big picture,’ but can balance that with a strong pragmatic streak
  • Prefer experience with large database manipulation through standard access tools, such as SQL (MS-Access, SQL Server, Oracle), and reporting tools (Micro strategy, Business Objects, Tableau)
  • Confident communicator able to drive results with C-level leaders.
  • Comfortable navigating large and complex organizations to influencing and obtain stakeholder buy in
  • 8+ years progressive experience in pricing/business analytics role
  • Education MBA or equivalent
