We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead the PayPal team dedicated to payroll processing for the Americas. Successful candidate would have full responsibility to manage payroll processing for PayPal entities in 6 countries for over 13,000 employees in the US, Canada and LATAM region. Role also has responsibility for payroll stock and mobility processes that have potential for a global reach.

  • Lead and develop a team of payroll professionals based in Scottsdale, AZ and Omaha, NE.
  • Act as the key point of contact and subject matter expert for Americas payroll in front of internal and external customers (e.g., HR functions, Business Leads in various countries, Business Unit Controllers, M&A Integration, Accounting, Auditors).
  • Maintain good inter-departmental relationships by partnering and communicating with these functions to ensure smooth payroll operational activities
  • Work/partner with Global Payroll Lead, HR and business partners to ensure Americas payroll operations remain aligned with broader servicing and process optimization strategies
  • Manage PayPal relationships with ADP for all countries under your remit. 
  • Ensure Payroll vendors perform up to standard, identifying process gaps, risks and issues in a timely manner through proper escalation
  • Continually improve internal controls to ensure proper treatment and compliance of all payroll transactions.
  • Maintain policies related to the payroll process and identify areas of non-compliance.
  • Continuously review Americas payroll process for efficiency.
  • Identify and manage projects aimed at standardizing and improving the Americas payroll process.
  • Serve as Payroll Subject Matter Expert for integration of both organically grown and acquired Americas entities into the COE Payroll team.
  • Function as an Americas Payroll Subject Matter Expert for various global projects and initiatives
  • Manage SOX disclosures and management testing process for Americas payroll.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree (ideally in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance) or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years experience processing US payroll on ADP systems, preferably
  • Exposure to Canada and LATAM payroll processes
  • ADP Globalview and Streamline experience
  • Demonstrable experience in a multi-national corporate environment
  • Experience with a broad range of ADP tools and services, including reporting, compliance, and issue resolution
  • Excellent decisions making, problem solving and analytic capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Strong management and people management skills
  • Self-motivated, high energy, ability to cope with changes, stress and tight deadlines and ideally accustomed to reporting remotely
  • Experience in project/change management
  • Team player and team leader with a strong aptitude for process efficiency
