The accounting specialist requires to work closely and collaboratively with the internal costumers in the organization to perform the activities assigned in a daily basis and during closing month participating in reconciliations and flux analysis as well as other internal projects. The ideal candidate will be highly organized with exceptional technical accounting knowledge and will have a strong drive towards excellence and results and will be able to think and act both analytically and strategically.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare general journal entries related to reclassifications, accruals, expenses and others.
  • Accruals administration/reconciliation for accounting purposes.
  • Follow up on invoicing matters regarding the issuance of invoices to merchants, solve questions and guide merchants on the process for invoicing their commissions.
  • Follow up on accounts payable with Global AP team.
  • Coordinate the closing month activities.
  • Perform reconciliations.
  • Ability to support new business or governance initiatives

Experience/Education:

  • University degree as Public Accountant or finance related.
  • Fluently read, write and speak 90% English.
  • 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong accounting knowledge.
  • Desirable experience in eAccounting and federal tax.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Understanding of ERP system – SAP
  • Detail-oriented.
