Accounting and Operations Associate, PayPal Giving Fund (m/f/d)

Responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and maintaining a database of charity pay-outs
  • Investigating and processing uncashed and returned cheques and pay out fails
  • Working closely with Customer Service to resolve enquiries from charities
  • Suggesting, planning, and helping to implement process improvements and automation in order to reduce manual effort and potential for human error
  • Work with the Communication Executive and Cause Executive to advise and determine which monthly communications need to be sent to charities
  • Communicating with charities, via phone and email, to ensure cheques are cashed, and encouraging them to enrol with PPGF for future pay-outs
  • Maintain a call out list to top charities to provide an additional element of customer support to encourage their enrolment
  • Working with PayPal UK to coordinate efforts on charity enrollment and communications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent, with experience in a finance function
  • Familiarity with the basic rules and operations of non-profit accounting
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Process any undeliverable donations and reassigned funds in accordance with our donation delivery policy
  • Experience in prompt and accurate data logging, with Strong data analytical skills
  • Highly proficient in using spreadsheet and database tools such as Excel and Access, including familiarity with filters, pivot tables, and vlookups
  • Experience working with accounting software
  • A collaborative and flexible style, able to handle ambiguity and dependencies on external organizations
  • A strong service mentality with the ability to maintain discipline and meet deadlines
  • A team-player with integrity, who can also take the initiative when required
