The Account Executive is responsible for and development new and innovative opportunities for the PayPal China business. The objective will be to enable marketplaces merchants to build/grow their own website business with PayPal and eco-system partners total solutions. Utilizing in-depth industry knowledge and merchant insights, the Account Executive is an expert in PayPal solutions, delivering best-in-class service and drive merchants business transformation and growth.

The primary focus of this role is to drive product penetration, partnering with internal cross functional teams including but not limited to Product, Risk, Operations and Integration to create sustained success. Concurrently, you will manage a merchant portfolio with a focus on SOC improvement, churn prevention, restricted account support and work with the relevant key internal stakeholders to manage onboarding, servicing and issue resolution. Your success in this role will be based on quota attainment and inorganic growth.

  • Identify sales opportunities of potential merchants, and develop an outside-in-view of the merchant’s e-Commerce business; the key drivers of their growth & the pain points where they need support
  • Enable merchants with PayPal total solutions, drive merchants to build the capabilities of operating own website business
  • Maintain best in class PayPal product integration standards to help merchants optimize their e-Commerce sales performance
  • Responsible for cross-selling and upselling PayPal’s new product and services to meet or exceed business targets
  • Collaborate with marketing, channel partners, risk management, integration and business supporting team to promote the key solutions
  • Meet the sales quota, such as merchant onboarding number, TPV (total purchase volume), revenue target.

Basic Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred
  • Min 5 years’ relevant sales experience in the Payment Industry, Financial Services, IT solutions, e-Commerce and Digital Goods
  • Proven success record in sales, business development or relationship management
  • Strong verbal and written language skills in English and Mandarin.

  • Results oriented, self-motivated and a “hands on” person with proven ability on sales execution to deliver results in fast pace working environment
  • Strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial spirit to excavate sales opportunities
  • Research and problem-solving skills whilst working with multiple internal departments to address and solve merchant queries
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and presentation skills required
  • Must be a proactive self-starter, open to change, be able to work in virtual team environment.
