The FP&A Analyst will support the planning and forecasting processes for PayPal’s Core Markets (North America, UK, Germany, Western Europe and Australia) revenue performance. This position will involve working with the Core Markets’ management team and wider FP&A team to produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, reviewing monthly forecasts, quarterly targets and annual budgets for the Core Markets’ regions. It will also require collaboration with different stakeholders to gather inputs, summarize insights and produce executive level presentations. Key focus will be to drive optimal decision making through financial modelling and quantitative analysis. The FP&A Analyst will be also supporting key Business strategic Initiatives in coordination with the regional/global strategy/Go to Market teams A successful candidate will be highly analytical and capable of interpreting trends. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to present and work with the wider FP&A team and business owners. The candidate will provide planning support while aiming at doing so in a scalable and efficient way. The candidate will report into the Head of FP&A - Core Markets and be part of Finance team based in Luxembourg

Core responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Senior Management to develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s business across different PayPal’ regions & segments, managing monthly forecast processes, strategic planning process and drafting CEO & CFO Board presentations.
  • Provide detailed strategic insight into the dynamics of the differing parts of Core Markets’ business and deep dives to understand specific revenue driver trends.
  • Drive optimal decision making through insightful models and analytical tools & use of extensive financial and quantitative analysis, modelling, including revenue variance analyses.
  • Work with Core Market’s Senior Management and different FP&A team members to produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, produce analytical dashboards, review monthly forecasts, quarterly targets and annual budgets for the region.
  • Drive Core Markets FP&A analytics tools and process strategies, partnering with Core/international and global FP&A and technology teams.
  • Support ad-hoc analyses & projects at Core Markets & PP Inc. level

Education required:

Masters Degree or equivalent. MBA preferred.

Experience required:

  • Some experience already gained as Financial Analyst in a fast growing, medium/large company environment within the eCommerce or financial services sectors.
  • Experience in financial planning, modelling, forecasting/budgeting.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and challenging financial models.

Knowledge required:

  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills. Experience with database products (e.g. Essbase).
  • Some proficiency in SQL/Python/VBA would be an advantage
  • Fluent in English. Any other language of the region is more than welcome.
