Voice Platform system engineer responsible for administration of PayPal's IVR and Voice Biometric platforms

As part of the Voice Platform team you will be responsible for maintaining PayPal's IVR and Voice Biometric infrastructure and platforms. This is a new team so there will be opportunities for a technical leadership position for the right candidate.

Qualifications and Experience

•         Bachelor or Masters degree in the field of Computer Science/Information Technology or other related fields

•         5+ years of relevant work experience

•         Deep understanding and experience in administration of Avaya Voice Portal - Avaya Experience Portal Certified Engineer highly desirable 

•         Hands-on experience in Linux/Systems administration, scripting/programming and troubleshooting OS level issues

•         Experience with Google CCAI/DialogFlow integration highly desirable

•         Experience in administration of Nuance Security Suite and related products

•         Good understanding of SIP/SIPREC analysis and troubleshooting

•         Good experience working with engineers distributed across geographies and timezones; ability to naturally lead and collaborate across very diverse teams

•         Cross-platform Unix/windows administration as well as scripting / powershell skills

•         Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with an unwavering attention to detail

•         Strong communication and project management skills

•         Self driven and proven ability to work independently with limited supervision


Responsibilities

•         General administration of both the IVR and Voice Biometric platforms to ensure system reliability and performance

•         Troubleshooting technical problems as they arise

•         Assume ownership of problems and issues through to resolution

•         Implementing effective monitoring and alerting within the platforms

•         Ensure all solutions and recommended solutions are consistent with IT standards and best practices

•         Engineering initiatives that bring greater transparency and resiliency to PayPal core infrastructure

•         Liaise with patterning teams foe effective resolution to incidents

•         Administration of Avaya Experience Portals and related systems

•         Configuring & integration with vendor resources, google Dialog Flow, Nuance ASR/TTS

•         General administrative duties of Nuance Security suite application

•         Implementing mechanisms to ensure system reliability and performance to agreed SLA's

•         Reviewing system performance, scoring quality and trends including analysis of False Accept/ false reject scores for tuning purposes

•         Analysing and deleting of voice prints where appropriate

•         Troubleshooting of issues as they arise including resolution of incidents and tickets as they are assigned.

•         Other duties as assigned
