Job Snapshot

Job Description

At PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL), we believe that every person has the right to participate fully in the global economy. Our mission is to democratize financial services to ensure that everyone, regardless of background or economic standing, has access to affordable, convenient, and secure products and services to take control of their financial lives. We’re a purpose-driven company, and our beliefs are the foundation of how we conduct business every day. We’re guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Collectively, these values inspire us to work together as One Team with our customers at the center of everything we do, and to take care of ourselves, each other, and the communities in which we live and work. We challenge the status quo, ask questions, and find solutions. Join us as we enable the hopes, dreams, and ambitions of millions of people around the world.

About the role  In the past, the Venmo marketing team has had the opportunity to shape the Venmo brand across the US. As we bring more product offerings to market, we’re looking for high performing product marketers to help bring Venmo’s evolving product experiences into the world. This role will focus on commerce and other new features that enable our existing base to use Venmo in new and exciting ways tied to our monetization goals. You will be responsible for helping launch new products that both meet the needs of our users and achieve company objectives  - from conversion to ongoing engagement and retention in fun, uniquely Venmo ways.

About Us

Venmo was founded on the principles of breaking down the intimidating barriers around financial transactions to make them intuitive, friendly, and even fun. And it worked: people love sending money with Venmo, and we’re growing by leaps and bounds!

But we’re only just getting started. We want to take that magic of sending money with Venmo and cascade it into every place where people use money. That means connecting people to their money in the most intuitive and fun way possible, then connecting people with each other. Users already love Venmo, but we know there are lots of things we haven’t thought of to make the experience of using Venmo even more delightful and valuable. All that’s going to take a lot of figuring out. Let’s figure it out together!

Responsibilities:

  • Become Marketing’s domain expert on our commerce and potentially other new portfolios related to consumer insights, segmentation, category knowledge and user metrics

  • Partner with Product to coordinate product releases - including target audience feature set, user experience, roadmap fit, and the marketing plan

  • Act as the voice of the consumer in helping create product positioning & naming, value proposition and messaging

  • Identify and help drive user research projects to answer key consumer questions tied to potential and existing product experiences, then turn those learnings into actionable marketing strategies

  • Develop and evangelize go-to-market strategies for your product lineup, executing flawlessly across all relevant customer touchpoints

  • Work cross functionally with internal teams and agency partners to deliver world class marketing communications

  • Identify needs, help execute user research and apply learnings to key initiatives

  • Connect into the global PayPal marketing org, sharing best practices and collaborating where needed

Requirements:

  • Successful project manager with the ability to work quickly and with agility. Flexibility and a problem-solving mindset is needed

  • Act as a strong collaborator who has worked cross functionally to bring products to market

  • Proven track in launching products (from ideation to market release) that achieved business objectives

  • Can think analytically, strategically and creatively. We are looking for a dynamic marketer who brings discipline but also an innovative perspective to the role

  • Must be able to build relationships and effectively communicate across company disciplines

  • Be a resilient self-starter and a creative problem solver that can adjust to change
