The US Marketing Lead for Core Markets is responsible for growing the health, value and relevance of the PayPal network in US. Leading the market strategy development and execution of a full suite of Marketing Programs for PayPal in the US across our Consumer, Merchant and Partner sgements, this role will lead the remit to “compete and win” on behalf of our customers and amidst the local competitive environment. This role, reporting to the VP of Consumer Marketing, will be an instrumental member of the team of Marketing Leads in our core markets and will also be a critical partner to the US Sales Leaders to deliver ambitious commercial growth goals for the US business. Success will be defined by the delivery of customer outcomes including new customer acquisition, growing the customer value of our engaged customer base and in growing the brand esteem, momentum, and differentiation so that PayPal is positioned as a beloved world changing brand, highly relevant to everyday lives in the US and the chosen partner for growth for merchants, channel and financial ecosystem partners . You will also lead and nurture a hotbed of talent in the US marketing team to innovate and deliver game changing work for acquisition, engagement and growth in both the US and other core markets.

  • Develop game changing customer marketing strategies across the full funnel to drive growth in new customer acquisition, customer engagement and to strongly position PayPal in the US
  • Partner with the US Sales team  to inspire merchants and partners with best in class comarketing and partnership marketing programs for mutual commercial benefit
  • Play the Portfolio game across your market to optimize resource allocation, to develop programs that scale and to drive continuous improvement in the contribution of marketing to commercial results
  • Develop new marketing muscles in imaginatively localizing your marketing programs to emotionally connect with consumers in your markets. Foster a team spirit where you are immersed in local culture to explore new channels & creative marketing activations to elevate the role PayPal plays in culture at the country level
  • Partner effectively with internal teams to deliver best in class marketing. Deliver world class marketing briefs to our internal partners to enable co-creation of game changing marketing programs. Partner with our Growth Lab to move core customer metrics across our funnels and to optimize the reach and effectiveness of our channels, partner with our Creative Lab to develop delightful and engaging creative and partner with our Marketing Operations team to effectively optimize our data & technology capabilities. 
  • Manage, mentor and inspire the US Marketing Team including the Credit team  to achieve their goals, to contribute to the business and to develop, learn and grow while they build a successful marketing career at PayPal
  • Play a leadership role within the broader Global Marketing Team and the Core Country Leadership Teams. Contribute to building a high-performance marketing team renown for accountability, executional excellence, business impact and teamwork
