This new role will be the Portfolio Manager of the US PayPal Working Capital product within the Business Financing Solutions (BFS) division of PayPal Credit.

The position reports to the Senior Director, Global Portfolio Management for Business Financing Solutions (BFS), the merchant financing division of the PayPal Credit business unit (based in Timonium, MD). This position will be part of a cross-functional team and partners with colleagues from numerous domains—including Marketing, Product, Finance, Credit Risk, PMO, Legal, Operations, Compliance & Analytics—to drive commercial growth in our US PayPal Working Capital portfolio and help US SMB and Mid-Market merchants obtain the finance they need to grow, strengthen their businesses and remain loyal PayPal merchants. This role has P&L and scorecard responsibility for the PayPal Working Capital business in the US.

Core responsibilities:

  • Manage the business’s P&L and help deliver scorecard for Financial, Customer and Employee metrics.
  • Serve as business lead to champion product & business intiatives to grow US PPWC, working with stakeholders across Credit and the enterprise in Marketing, Product, Technology, PMO, Finance, Analytics, & Operations to identify growth opportunities & capabilities, scope them, marshall resources to get them built and operationalize them to optimum impact.
  • Deliver aggressive growth plans for the PayPal Business Loan in the US & Canada, through partnership with Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Product, Analytics, Credit Risk, Operations and other key functions.
  • Ensure PPBL enables growth of SMB & Mid-Market merchant segments in North America and partner with PayPal colleagues outside of Credit to deliver that “halo” in tangible, measurable ways.
  • Support the Senior Director, Portfolio Management for Global BFS in running an Operating Environment for US PPWC with a high performing team and operational excellence in all aspects of the business.

Requirements:

  • Experience with credit products in the US and globally
  • Knowledge of and passion for the SMB segment in the US, including B2B, payment and/or credit products
  • Experience with and familiarity of a range of business disciplines including B2B product marketing, product development and management, financial planning & analysis, credit risk, and operations
  • Experience navigating a highly-matrixed, cross-functional, international professional environment
  • Be action-oriented with a strong and consistent track record of professional accomplishments
  • Aspiration to operate as a General Manager, routinely deliver commercial results and influence a cross-functional team of peers & senior leaders
  • Talent to leverage relationship skills and build culture for a high-performing, engaged team
  • Collaborative, commercial attitude to drive integration with core BU and crystallize halo benefits for broader PayPal franchise
  • Ability to work across timezones (primarily US & Europe) and travel periodically (primarily US)
  • Fluent English required. Other languages a plus.
  • MBA degree a plus
