An engineer to develop tools and techniques to collect and distribute intelligence about a variety of knowledge artifacts found outside of PayPal’s network.

Threat Management proactively protects PayPal from on-going and emerging threats through data-driven decisions based on cyber intelligence data, data analytics, and threat assessments. The organization consists of multi-disciplinary subject matter experts with a broad spectrum of industry experiences and deep analytical and quantitative expertise.

Threat Management is seeking an engineer to support and lead Threat Management efforts through developing tools and techniques to collect and distribute intelligence about a variety of knowledge artifacts found outside of PayPal’s network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new tools in Python3 and Golang to gather and analyze intelligence data

• Create and maintain cloud-based application services, including containerized and serverless solutions

• Collaborate with team members and external partners to deliver complete and effective solutions

• Document and communicate technical concepts to users of all skill levels

• Perform ad hoc research on emerging threats

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Python

• 2+ years of experience with cloud application services (Digital Ocean, Linode, AWS)

• Knowledge in Python best practices, such as documentation, Pep8, testing

• Excellent, concise verbal and written communication

• Knowledge of current Information Security culture and issues

• Must be willing to be in the Tel Aviv office

• Preferred: Experience with Golang

• Preferred: Experience with Graph Databases, specifically AWS Neptune

• Ideal candidate is a team oriented, self-directed continual learner with a passion for asking big questions and creating solutions to find answers
