PayPal is looking for a team player to join our growing Cybersecurity Operations team. The Threat Intelligence Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert and will work closely with PayPal’s Threat Detection and Cyber Defense Center (CDC) teams to provide strategic, operational and tactical intelligence for cyber investigations. The engineer will be responsible for collection, analysis, and production of Threat Intelligence products, enabling PayPal to maintain a strong security posture.   • Research, analyze and triage Threat Intelligence feeds to create actionable results for internal stakeholders
  • Integrate Threat Intelligence activities into existing Cyber Defense and Vulnerability Management functions, including ad-hoc analysis requests and purple team exercises
  • Map Tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) to existing defense controls, leveraging a Breach & Attach Simulation tool, to reduce the overall attack surface
  • Automate hunt methodologies to enhance the Cyber Defense Center capabilities
  • Develop threat reports for senior management and business stakeholders


  • Prior Threat Intelligence experience (2-3 years), including hands-on experience with various Cybersecurity technologies and standards (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
  • Thorough understanding of the intelligence lifecycle, procedures and concepts within OSINT, online research tools, and cyber threats trends
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills
  • Extensive experience conveying complex data in simple, concise language
