The Third Party Risk Program Support role will support the Third Party Management Program Office (“TPMPO”). TPMPO enables the Company to govern, monitor, and mitigate risks and increase value from Third Parties throughout the life cycle. In this role, you will work collaboratively as part of a team in a high problem-solving environment, driving program enhancements to ensure success across the organization. You will support the enhancement process for the existing third party risk assessment program, serve as liaison to various internal partners, support reporting and data integrity efforts, and various special projects as assigned. The person we are seeking must be self-motivated, have experience in a second or third line of defense role (such as Risk/Compliance/Audit), have proven ability to build relationships/partnerships, and work cross-functionally to drive time sensitive deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the review of third party assessments received in the risk assessment tool
  • Support development of a monitoring process of third party alerts  
  • In collaboration with the Third Party Management Program (TPMP) team; support and continue to mature the third party management risk program across PayPal
  • Support special projects and initiatives: special projects vary from strategic initiatives to day-to-day operations 
  • Support needs will vary by project and will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Support consistent Third Party Management Program reporting 
  • Collaborate across the team to meet the project goals, resolve any issues and to implement improvements
  • Support the TPMPO in enhancing third party monitoring processes and procedures

Minimum Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in second or third line of defense role such as risk, regulatory compliance, testing or audit
  • Excels within a fast-paced environment by maintaining composure and demonstrating the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • A passion for problem-solving, flexibility, comfort with ambiguity and creativity
  • Solutions oriented, takes initiative, and proactively addresses problems/issues that arise
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) to communicate with internal partners and draft formal documentation and plans
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Team player and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrating a high level of professional judgment, commitment, integrity and teamwork
  • Proven experience and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced experience and knowledge with Excel, Tableau and or Power BI
  • Some travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in relevant field
  • Knowledge and experience within the financial services industry
  • Experience with third party risk or enterprise risk process or program development a plus
