Our Technical Sourcers are responsible for creating and maintaining a continual/active flow of prospects and candidates by utilizing advanced internet searching skills, cold calling, networking, database mining, referrals, and other advanced recruitment techniques for current and future open positions. Responsible for proactively sourcing talented and diverse prospects through innovative sourcing techniques; identifying top talent to fill critical positions by utilizing online database searches, internal databases, networking, referrals, research, and cold calling. The Technical Sourcer will be responsible for developing a target list of companies and prospects, in conjunction with the recruiter and hiring manager.

A typical day for a Technical Sourcer will include:

  • Prepares target lists with recruiters and hiring managers and develops a sourcing strategy.  
  • Works with Workday Recruit, Greenhouse or similar ATS software tools. 
  • Sources, qualifies, and presents candidates to the Recruiter and adheres to Recruiter/Sourcer Service Level Guidelines. 
  • Represents PayPal’s brand to prospects, selling the organization as well as setting appropriate expectations with the candidate regarding the process.  
  • Partner with our talent intelligence team on talent mapping, market availability, analysis as well as our competitive landscape. Partnering with hiring managers and recruiters to outline a comprehensive strategy based on this information 
  • Develops knowledge of current marketplace and trends. 
  • Makes initial candidate contact and builds relationships/networks with prospects with the primary focus on lead generation and to develop their interest level in company opportunities. 
  • Manages applicant tracking system, maintains accurate candidate documentation to ensure legal compliance with employment practices, policies, procedures, and OFCCP regulations. 
  • Ensures compliance for EEO/Diversity Programs. 
  • Builds a robust network of top talent, gains market intelligence and assesses candidates to gauge talent alignment for a specific role and or program area. 
  • Uses effective communication approaches that include proactively keeping the recruiter informed, appropriately expressing ideas and thoughts verbally and in written form.  

Basic Qualifications & Interests 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4-6 years of experience in recruiting or staffing. 
  • At least 4-6 years of social networking experience using internet networking tools, such as LinkedIn. 
  • At least 4-6 years of experience with applicant tracking systems and CRMs. 
  • At least 4-6 years of experience with Boolean Search Strings. 
  • Ability to effectively set appropriate expectations with stakeholders, hiring managers, and recruiters while having the humbleness to communicate when you’re off track or need help.  
  • Experience in developing social media sourcing strategies. 
  • At least 4-6 years of experience working independently to meet deadlines. 
  • Experience with talent neuron or working with talent intelligence teams 
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization & in the business community. 
  • Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget. 
  • A successful track record of performing against quotas, deadlines, and meeting recruiting goals. 
  • Self-starter with an incredible work ethic and team-first mentality. 
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Can think fast and use good judgment. 

Preferred Qualifications & Interests 

  • Technical Sourcing experience. 
  • Experience with Xray, LinkedIn Recruiter or other software sourcing tools. 
  • Knowledge of organizational design and structures.
