As a Technical Services Engineer in the Enterprise Cyber Security (ECS) team, you will support our enterprise Product development teams, cybersecurity defense center and fraud command center for fraud prevention and attack mitigation. This role will give you the opportunity to develop your skills, collaborate across teams, mentor your peers, and continue to learn in a fun, reciprocal, iterative, and rapidly changing environment. The Team The ECS Security Operations Services team provides critical security orchestration, rate limiting and consulting services for attack mitigation and fraud prevention. This team partners with Next Generation Rate Limiting Product Development team and Security Orchestration Automation and Response team to provide integration services to various Product development teams within PayPal.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Discover and onboard new endpoints to Next Generation Rate Limiting product. 

  • Expand the coverage of rate limiting controls across all endpoints in live site and appropriate Corp applications. 

  • Provide consulting expertise on policy configurations for attack mitigation  

  • Work to enhance, refine, automate existing processes. 

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to integration and rate limiting services 

  • Participate in discovery, implementation and demonstration of rate limiting controls, attack mitigation impacts and services to stakeholders 

  • Accelerate customer adoption of Rate limiting and SOAR product by executing on implementation and discovering integration and customer requirements for ease of adoption 

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, related technical field or equivalent practical experience. 

  • 4 years minimum customer-facing experience, interfacing with customers, executive stakeholders, driving/managing/delivering IT technical implementations, transformation programs or other initiatives. 

  • Experience or knowledge of service oriented architecture , Security Orchestration Automation and Response and rate limiting products  

  • Programming experience with Java  

  • Working knowledge of Linux, Git, Jenkins, Docker, JUnit, Maven 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

  • Deep technical understanding of security technologies and processes coupled with strong interpersonal skills to partner with peers and senior leadership to influence priorities for security integration prioritization 

  • A sense of ownership and a passion for delighting customers through innovation and creative solutions to sophisticated problems 

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technical teams 

  • Comfortable talking about technical topics/issues with businesspeople and business topics/issues with technical people; Able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences
