Payments Data Science team is part of Global Data Science (GDS), expands the capabilities and expertise to tackle even more challenges and further advance the data science & analytical solutions and impact that we bring to businesses across the company. We are looking for a Lead product manager, who is passionate about delivering quality solutions, excited about constantly interacting with his/her customer base and inspired by the opportunity to build Data Science solutions. The PM constantly seeks opportunities to improve our offering: placing emphasis on quality, delivering delightful customer experiences, with right set of capabilities to meet PayPal needs.

Job Description:

  • The Lead Product Manager will be responsible for:
  • Driving product strategy and creating capabilities that application teams can leverage to have a direct impact on PayPal end user experience
  • Working cross-functionally (with global BUs, Data Scientists, Engineering, and Design) and developing strong relationships that help build trust with key partner teams.
  • Evangelizing product roadmap internally and externally in informal and formal settings


  • Experience driving strategy for infrastructure products in a top tech or payments company 
  • Proven experience working in an agile environment in a Product Owner role.
  • Passion to seek an in-depth understanding of customer needs and turn that insight into a compelling vision and strategy for the product area
  • 10+ years of experience with Bachelor degree OR 7+ years of experience with a Graduate degree. MBA Preferred but not required if strong track record of Product Management experience.
  • Strong execution and ability to drive work to completion.
  • Must have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in building scalable big data platforms and a deep understanding of behavioral analytics
  • Experience in working with Big Data technologies. Strong SQL and Data Analysis skills.
  • Hands-on experiences with Teradata, SAS or Hadoop are strong plus.
