As Senior Data Protection Developer you will be contributing in centralized products to improve the data protection layers for PayPal Customers and employees PII/PCI data and PayPal’s intellectual property. While enhancing and enriching the functionalities of existing Data Sec tools, you will also be innovating new tools and algorithms to enable defence at depth. This position will be getting great exposure of working with highly skilled Data Protection Architects, engineers and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Data Protection Architects and Product Managers to work on Data security Solutions for Data at Rest,  Use and Transit
  • Responsible for high quality code to enable most optimize performance
  • Design, Develop, Test and Deploy the code artifacts
  • Follow and improve he CI/CD and DevOps processes
  • Manage existing Data Sec Tool  (run the business)
  • Comfortably able to  work in Agile methodology with fast pace deliveries and high quality code
  • Innovate new solutions for Data Security and Contribute to the ecosystem by Open-sourcing it
  • Improve test coverage for services, implement integration tests and resolve problem areas 

 
Skills:

  • High interest in cyber security space, focusing in solving the Data Security problems
  • Excellent programming and debugging skills in Java or Python
  • Experience in writing algorithms for complex problem
  • Apache spark, python, hands on experience in deploying, training and improvising ML models
  • Good experience in working with Hadoop and Big Data technologies like HDFS, Pig, Hive, Zookeeper, Storm, Spark, Airflow and NoSQL systems
  • Hands on experience on Maven, GIT, Jenkins, Junit, Splunk, SOAP UI etc. 
  • Has worked on streaming and real-time pipelines
  • Experience with Apache Kafka or has worked with any of Spark Streaming, Flume or Storm
  • Experience of working with Cloud Architecture preferably GCP
  • Good understanding of DLP products available in Market
  • Experience of building/enhancing  UI with nodeJS, React or any MVC framework
