At PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL), we believe that every person has the right to participate fully in the global economy. Our mission is to democratize financial services to ensure that everyone, regardless of background or economic standing, has access to affordable, convenient, and secure products and services to take control of their financial lives.

Fueled by a fundamental belief that having access to financial services creates opportunity, PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL) is committed to democratizing financial services and empowering people and businesses to join and thrive in the global economy. Our open digital payments platform gives PayPal’s 392 million active account holders the confidence to connect and transact in new and powerful ways, whether they are online, on a mobile device, in an app, or in person. Responsibilities

  • Responsible as Chaos Engineering technical owner for our team, automating our current Resiliency testing and leading the development of a Chaos Engineering platform for use by SRE and Product Development teams
  • Responsible for partnering with Disaster Recovery Operations to enable monitoring and reporting of the current disaster recovery posture and technical readiness across the enterprise, including identifying any material gaps in readiness
  • Responsible for the development of products that expose the real-time state of our platforms to the operational teams that require situational awareness for traffic and incident response actions

Requirements

• Great analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong influencer and strong communicator, both written and spoken.

Behaviors:

• Demonstrate a high emotional quotient and empathy, with ability to build trust and create psychological safety while tackling tough problems and navigating conflicts.

• Identify and solicit input from all stakeholders, balancing competing needs and distilling a coherent strategy.

• Lead by meeting people where they are at and building bridges to where you need them to go.

• Emphasize iterative progress, risk management, and delivering value.
