In this role you will get an opportunity to support the deployment of the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) program. As Manager, EDG Program Management you will have the opportunity to support several functions within the program in defining and executing a multi-faceted data management program, inclusive of data governance, data quality, metadata, master data, data architecture workstreams and in coordination with our privacy and security organizations. This position will require a significant amount of collaboration across all business areas within PayPal Core and its adjacencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all deliverables for the Data Governance program. Ensuring that all program commitments are met.
  • Work with the Head of Data Governance to build strategic plans solving internal stakeholder outcomes while balancing business and technical needs.
  • Drive focus, efficiency, agility, and innovation in delivering data program commitments.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve EDG program communication, stakeholder management and take the ideas from concept to reality.
  • Coordinate and manage activities associated with strategic data governance program councils/forums including setting meeting cadence, curating agenda topics, developing substantive materials, capturing meeting minutes, and following through on action items.
  • Ensure all program action items are being tracked, have assigned accountability and are being completed.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks that may hinder adoption of the data governance program across the organization.
  • Coordinate all enterprise policy and procedure submittals and updates.
  • Anticipate, identify, prioritize, and drive resolution of program level issues leveraging lessons learned from prior experience.
  • Develop key reporting metrics, identify and track milestones for the program and manage cross-functional dependencies.
  • Work with the Head of Data Governance to develop an enterprise-wide education/training program and curriculum.
  • Build positive and influential relationships across organizations through strong and collaborative interactions, proactive planning, and decisive leadership.
  • Manage definition and measurements of OKRs for the EDG program and align with Business Objectives. Provide insight into the health and status of OKRs to senior leadership across BUs.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of program management and project management experience
  • Experience with payments platforms and products  
  • Experience in developing and deploying enterprise-wide program management frameworks and processes
  • Strong knowledge of payment industry business processes, platforms, and products
  • Experience with managing data-related projects is preferred
  • Strong MS Office skills required
  • Ability to visualize and create presentations according to discussion topics-turn concepts into materials
  • Ability to communicate easily from business, technical and customer perspectives; presenting effectively to senior audiences, adjusting to needs and reactions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage timely escalations at the appropriate level of detail and communicated to the appropriate level.

Education:

  • BA degree in Program Management, Business, or related field
