As a Senior Product Manager on the team, you’ll own the end-to-end experience of our Tips feature, which provides contextual insights that help users make an informed decision about their purchase during the consideration phase. The ideal candidate is empathetic to the needs and motivations of different users, attentive to what the data is telling us while being aware of its limitations, technical enough to brainstorm solutions with our engineering team that find the right tradeoffs between impact and cost, and experienced in building consumer ecommerce experiences for millions of users.

About the Team

The Shopping Destinations team is focused on building a world-class consumer shopping experiences at the top of the funnel, where shoppers begins each shopping journey to. By using our data about coupons, price history, cashback rewards, and other ways to save, as well as our editorial team of deal finders, we help shoppers identify where to find the best deals for what they’re looking for in an engaging, personalized experience.

In addition, we expect all Product Managers at PayPal to:

  • Use an effective combination of research, data, and product intuition to make timely decisions
  • Understand the “why” behind everything we do and instill that understanding across the teams you work with
  • Serve as a communication hub and collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment across the ecosystem of Honey products
  • Have a deep awareness, respect, and empathy for what we ask of our users and the value we provide them in return

We’re looking for candidates with

  • At least 5 years of experience building and shipping consumer-facing products at scale.
  • A natural, deep curiosity that drives you to learn, investigate, and constantly ask why
  • Expert communication skills, including the ability to persuade and inspire, a knack for simplifying complexity, and a proactive attitude towards knowledge sharing
  • The ability to think outside the box when it comes to generating ideas, but an understanding that execution is what ultimately matters
  • Comfort with ambiguity, and an instinct for moving quickly and iterating rapidly
  • Collaborative mindset and experience negotiating stakeholders at mid/large-size companies (legal, finance, compliance, etc.)
