PayPal’s Growth Markets aims to power the next wave of growth for PayPal by serving the needs of consumers and merchants in Rapidly emerging markets. Product managers in this team understand the locally relevant needs of customers and are responsible for building products that cater to those needs end to end across all customers touchpoints at PayPal. We work as one-team across engineering, product, design and work to solve customer problems.

Job responsibilities 

  • Develop deep understanding of our customers in growth markets. Lead user researches for identifying customer needs, benchmarking competition by working with cross functional teams. 
  • Translate customer needs into solutions - Ideate and develop product requirements and lead the overall development of product
  • Work effectively with engineering to develop solutions; understand the UX, technical solution to discuss and influence trade-offs decisions. collaborate with product managers across the globe to assess and influence product impact to their area of expertise.
  • Strongly collaborate with Go to Market teams to launch, test and ramp the products in the market. 
  • Track the performance metrics for overall area and for each product launches and effectively solve product issues that arise working with engineering. Leverage data & analysis to ideate product improvements.  
  • Work with a global cross functional team for adherence to policy. 
  • Proactively seek feedback from customers, stakeholders and maintain a healthy backlog incremental improvements. 

Who are we looking for 

  • Demonstrated ability to be curious about the areas that interest them and understand “why” till they are satisfied 
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management – prior experience where they worked really well with other team members / manage stakeholders effectively by being proactive in communication. 
  • Should be able to effectively lead, steer and influence discussions by effective listening, summarizing and articulating of ideas clearly. 
  • Strong decisioning skills – should be able to understand customer, data and context and make decisions on the next course of action. 
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Should be able to work fast in an changing environment and be able to deal with ambiguity and bring clarity to teams 
  • 4-6 years of prior product management experience in any consumer facing role
  • MBA is a plus
