The Global Sr Manager of Digital Training Instructional Design is part of the Revenue Operations and Enablement Training team. We are looking for a professional instructional design manager to build a team that will design and develop learning and practicing experiences. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. Working with a diverse set of learners across the revenue-generating organization, you will need a creative approach to learning technology solutions including product, sales/servicing skills, payments industry domain knowledge, compliance, technology, and essential process knowledge to help our sales team sell more efficiently and to help our servicing teams provide a world class support experience to our existing merchants. As part of a global team, you will need to be able to think strategically about how to create training by role and region with a strong emphasis on executional excellence.

  • Build and develop an experienced team of learning and development designers.
  • Partner with global Subject Matter Experts to identify goals, audience, and objectives.
  • Promote collaboration, partnership and relationships among the participants and stakeholders in a design project.
  • Removes obstacles, balances competing priorities and collaborates effectively within the organization, leading to timely and high-quality learning deliverables
  • Scale and frame content to make it relevant and appealing to a variety of audiences.
  • Lead team to create content, learning experiences and programs using the most up-to-date methodology to remain agile and meet tight deadlines in an exceptionally fast-paced environment.
  • Create and effectively tie learning objectives in a Sales and Servicing environment to key business objectives and individual effectiveness.
  • Apply tested adult instructional design theories, practice, and methods.
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
  • Design and develop a variety of instructional materials such as instructor-led course content, virtual program content, podcasts, digital learning videos, simulations, role plays, games, eLearning, social, etc.
  • Determine and implement criteria and approaches to judge learner’s performance and develop the appropriate instruments ranging from assessments, surveys, and other content as needed.
  • Acquire and apply new technology skills to instructional design practice.
  • Organize course materials in a learning hierarchy enabling objectives. 
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders.
  • Identify ways to improve processes and issues while proactively seeking improvement.
  • Able to work effectively with global, diverse, and remote team members. 
  • Familiarity with leadership development principles, agile methodologies and design-thinking practices preferred.
  • Expect to challenge and to be challenged, to create, and to innovate.

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • BA/MA in Adult Learning, Education, or related field
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional design technology.
  • 10+ years’ experience in online curriculum development, preferably in global technology companies.
  • 4+ years’ experience in management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong content creator, experienced in crafting various types of training content (storyboards, videos, offline activities, reference guides & how-to’s etc.)
  • Self-starter that can manage their timelines and deliverables.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, changeable environment.
  • Can be given new assignments and projects without supervision; delivers complex and high-impact recommendations and plans
  • Strong proficiency with industry standard design software such as Microsoft office, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven ability to manager outside content and production vendors
  • Proven aptitude for creating instructional content for sales, product, strategy, and operations audiences using adult learning theory.
  • Ability to connect the dots in a highly matrixed and complex organization.
