As the team lead of the Engagement team, you will be responsible for overseeing engagement, cross-sell and retention strategies for consumer segments. This includes developing and executing performance driven lifecycle programs to increase usage frequency and retention, save / reactivate lapsed customers and improve the understanding and differentiation of PayPal in the marketplace.

Job Description:

The role of the NA Acquisition & Engagement Programs team is to drive marketing planning, as well as, develop and execute Acquisition, Lifecycle and Product X-Sell programs to meet and beat business plan KPIs.

As a leader on the team you will be responsible for overseeing engagement, cross-sell and retention strategies for consumer segments. This includes developing and executing performance driven lifecycle programs to increase usage frequency and retention, save / reactivate lapsed customers and improve the understanding and differentiation of PayPal in the marketplace.

Successful candidate is strong on both the performance/analytics and brand / creative sides of marketing. You have proven expertise in online advertising, brand marketing, and social media / community. You are action oriented, bringing a get-it-done, collaborative mentality. You are able to navigate and thrive in a highly matrix, flat organization.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as, Consumer Segment, Go-To-Market / PMM, Analytics, Digital, Brand, Research, Finance, and Operations Teams along with creative agencies to help you deliver against your goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive incremental revenue and usage by strengthening the customer funnel optimizing the end-to-end customer experience across customer touch points.
  • Launch differentiated loyalty program to migrate customers upwards and retain our top customers.
  • Devise and optimize holistic comprehension campaigns to improve understanding of PayPal’s unique offering and differentiation in the marketplace.
  • Develop communication strategies and tactics to improve re-activation of churned consumers and prevent churn among at risk active customers.
  • Create omni-channel NA marketing plans to deliver against strategic and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Help drive growth and adoption of key products, in particular P2P through always-on marketing communications and dedicated campaigns supporting product launches.
  • Lead the creative development and execution of the above marketing programs, partnering with creative, digital, marketing ops, analytics and research.
  • Work with analytics and data science on predictive models to optimize segmentation and contact strategy, in turn improving response and relevancy.
  • Build upon performance driven discipline driving growth metrics such as revenue, customer migration, retention and program ROI.
  • Manage and guide the Engagement Programs team.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of marketing experience.
  • 3+ years leading and managing high performance teams.
  • Highly effective communicator, who interacts with clarity and purpose, and who has experience interacting at all levels of organization
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills including creating and delivering presentations
  • Experience working effectively in a heavily cross functional, fast-paced environment, especially working across product, sales, research & marketing teams, and with external agencies
  • Process driven individual who has effectively managed and executed complex, multi-layer work streams in a matrix organization
  • Hands on experience as a marketing leader, having successfully grown a consumer-facing online business or app
  • A highly strategic, analytical, structured thinker and problem-solver. Someone who understands the big picture but can also manage the tactical details
  • Passion for PayPal and its mission
  • Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred)
