As the Senior Manager, HR Product Technology, you will have responsibility for a team of ETX HR Technical Product Managers supporting our HR Technology portfolio, including a roadmap of complex, multi-disciplinary projects across multiple HR applications, including Workday.

PayPal Employee Technology and Experience office supports our employees through the technologies that power them, from Legal to HR, Corporate Communications and more.  As the Senior Manager, ETX you will have responsibility for a team of ETX HR Technical Product Managers supporting our HR Technology portfolio, including a roadmap of complex, multi-disciplinary projects across multiple HR applications, including Workday.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic leader with a Technical Product Management background to take on the role.  This person will partner with our HR business team to help define and execute on a vision for world-class HR Technology solutions. They will also work closely with our project management, engineering, and quality teams to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of product solutions.  This position is for someone with a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit, who enjoys a dynamic and growing work environment, and enjoys working with people to provide world-class business solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching, guidance and day to day management to a team of Technical Product Managers working across our HR applications, including Workday, Salesforce, Learning and others.
  • Communicate organizational objectives; inspire and motivate the extended team to achieve results.
  • Sustain an environment that ensures employees realize their highest potential.
  • Lead team to continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.
  • Communicate with executive staff, business and product management partners.
  • Work with global partners to set a strategy and a vision consistent with PayPal corporate priorities for our HR Technology solutions, while identify opportunities to improve HR processes thru technology.
  • Manage internal customer relationships with our business partners and champion the employee and business stakeholder experience.
  • Develop and track high level KPI’s and goals.
  • Work with Technology and Business partners to prioritize capabilities and product backlog in accordance with the vision, strategy, business values, dependencies and technical risk.
  • Maintain high-level product roadmaps for products and services including developing and prioritizing product proposals and user stories for backlog.
  • Define and document end to end HR business processes and system improvements based on analysis to increase the workforce and stakeholder satisfaction with our HR technology solutions.
  • Manage milestones and deliverables based on technology during projects/enhancement/fixes.
  • Strong collaboration and negotiation with all stakeholders including sponsors, technologists and business customers (HR, PMO, Architecture, Vendors, Engineering, etc…).
  • Vendor contract negotiations and vendor relationship management.
  • Budget management.
  • Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems logically and systematically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels including executive management.
  • Ability to work in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models.
  • Highly flexible, ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in order to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization.


Requirements:

  • Experience managing a team of technical product managers and functional and technical resources.
  • Expert knowledge of systems development life cycle (SDLC) and SaaS/COTS implementation including proven experience in implementing HR software applications.
  • 10+ years’ experience in large scale technical product management, project management, vendor management, contract management, budget management and business analysis.
  • Experience supporting multiple HR lines of business such as compensation, rewards, learning, Operations, etc… required. 
  • Experience with Workday a strong plus.
  • Agile product owner experience a plus.
  • BS degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in Management Information Systems or Computer Science.
