The Decision Strategy team role combines strategy, analytics, operational practices and business insights into one. You would be required to partners with PayPal’s Product and Marketing leaders by delivering world-class strategy solutions and analytics that enables revenues and unlock business opportunities. We are looking for a talented, ambitious, versatile, and self-motivated, experienced Decision strategy manager to own and drive a last mile strategy solution with a focus on value driven outcome.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The position is highly visible & involves collaboration with key internal & external stakeholders (e.g., Analytics, Marketing, Marketing Ops, Data Science, Finance, Product, Compliance, Agencies, etc.)
  • Plan, drive and lead critical business programs of significant complexity independently. Experience in thinking strategically and acting operationally and experience managing ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects and strategies. 
  • Manage Product and marketing leaders and develop impactful relationship to drive high impact strategy solution.
  • Transform high-level business requirements into detailed analytical problem solutions.
  • Ongoing focus on domain knowledge; ability to constantly prioritize and to deal with ambiguity.
  • Play a hands-on role in leveraging advanced technology to build world class strategy solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, strategy, or related functions
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation, collaboration and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and influence change at all levels. 
  • Experience in building in strategy solutions by using rule writing infrastructure.
  • Previously worked with Python/R, SQL
  • Strong analytical skills including experience, familiarity, and ease with analyzing large, multi-dimensional data sets.
  • Highly motivated, result-oriented self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-pace environment.
  • Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles. 
  • Data driven mindset with degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics. MBA/MS is a plus
  • Experience in Fintech/Banking/Credit/Payment industry a strong plus
