The fin tech ecosystem is changing at break-neck speed and PayPal needs to keep pace by adapting to changes quickly as a company. The Change Management group, part of Global Product Engagement and PMO, is an internal consulting team that believes in impact-generating change management. Our aim is to ensure our internal clients can clearly visualize the benefits the change will bring and are equipped with a robust, and iterative change plan. The Sr Manager, Business Readiness Programs will join PayPal’s Change Management function under the Business Readiness and Change Execution team. We need a seasoned change agent who has the appetite to rock the boat and brings bold leadership high profile change management programs. This person will also bring creativity and a fresh perspective to the programs designed in facilitating change adoption. Our immediate task: put PayPal on the path to exponential growth by adoption of the company’s new Operating Model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute game-changing change adoption plans for major corporate or Product & Technology changes, from problem assessment and design of change plan, through execution of change plan and collaboration.
  • Consultancy, working with stakeholder “clients” to refine the change narrative and key messages, provide an assessment of stakeholders to be impacted, and provide recommendations on approach through a multi-layered change adoption plan.
  • Work with “client” stakeholders to identify and articulate the change or transformation outcomes. Collaborate with Oversight and Impact Measurement team to implement measurement program.
  • Build, motivate and maintain cross-functional teams, collaborating with functions within and outside the Change Management cluster of teams.
  • Engage and manage relationship with “client” stakeholders. Provide regular updates and feedback from the change adoption back to client, to determine iterations on change adoption plans.
  • Build or source supporting materials to socialize and ensure adoption of changes. Materials include presentations, FAQs, news stories, leader talking points, visual assets for
  • Coordinate work with functional specialists and vendors.
  • Think big! Be creative. Find unconventional ways to ensure change is adopted over the long term.

  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who can bootstrap and identify creative – even unconventional – solutions.  
  • Executive presence and high EQ. Work closely with and secure alignment across senior leaders. Has emotional maturity to acknowledge when to change course in approach.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic, systems thinking. Can translate that business acumen into solid frameworks to sell your ideas.
  • Manage complex programs, against tight timelines providing regular updates to senior leaders
  • Outcome driven with ability to work autonomously towards those outcomes

Preferred experience

  • Led or collaborated on culture-focused or behavior transformation programs
  • Management consulting a plus
  • Client-side experience in product management, program management or commercial roles a plus.
