We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic minded Senior Finance Analyst to join PayPal’s FP&A team supporting the Global Consumer Products business. In this position, you will partner with the senior product leaders across the portfolio of businesses to manage budgets, develop forecasts, and uncover new opportunities to accelerate the business. The role will be a key focal point in facilitating financial decision-making through building business cases, developing operational management of initiatives, and diagnosing challenges or opportunities at the global scale. An ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced financial modeling skills, offer a strategic perspective and possess strong business acumen.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans, annual financial budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Partner with regional and corporate finance teams to drive clear alignment for product–level financial plans and results
  • Collaborate with department managers to manage monthly spending, allocate resources effectively, and track resource effectiveness using metrics like Customer Lifetime Value
  • Collaborate with senior business partners to define and analyze critical business and financial goals to drive accountability and influence critical decision making
  • Support pricing analysis by channel and recommend changes to support long term growth
  • Lead financial analysis on new business initiatives to understand and prioritize opportunities
  • Work with other regional and cross-functional teams including Accounting, Risk, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Strategic Finance to deliver valuable insights and recommendations

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of related experience in finance, consulting, strategy or related areas
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance related field
  • Ability to synthesize complex analysis and ideas to clearly communicate them in an action-oriented manner is critical (both verbally and via e-mail / PowerPoint)
  • Experience in developing an expert-level understanding of business drivers and translating these into complex financial models
  • Highly accountable, with ability to independently lead and coordinate complex projects across multiple subject and functional areas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in a high growth and/or payment industry preferred
  • Experience in SAP, Essbase and/or equivalent financial systems preferred
