The global sales operations team supports the functions essential to the global sales force. These include planning, sales training and onboarding, process optimization, compensation design and administration, sales technology management and administration, sales and partner reporting, rev share and account management. The Sr Salesforce Developer will lead large-scale, highly complex technical initiatives and/or projects requiring integration of cross-functional systems. Provides technical guidance in evaluating applications systems or evaluating requests for proposals. This person will be working directly with key stakeholders globally including business leads, solution/technical architect, business analyst and quality leads to help analyze and design solutions for business requirements. Senior Developer will not only be responsible to take on the development work but also work with offshore development teams to meet the deadlines and deliver quality work.

  • Participate in all phases of software development life cycle including working with architects in understanding the design of requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment and support
  • Develop high quality and scalable application logic with Apex and SOQL
  • Develop highly interactive UI using Lightning Components and JQuery technologies
  • Develop Salesforce Marketing Cloud applications using JourneyBuilder, Salesforce Sync etc.
  • Develop custom applications using Force.com and integrate salesforce.com with other systems
  • Apply best practices and design patterns of best of breed applications developed on the Force.com platform
  • Design and generate Salesforce dashboards, reports and statistics that support better decision making and process improvement within the organization, including sales forecasting, win/loss analysis, and market trend analysis, etc.
  • Perform administrator functions such as user management, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, assignment rules, queues, licenses, capacity and storage management
  • Assist with database de-duping and clean up procedures, including data migrations and/or mass data uploads
  • Work closely with other administrators, developers in the team, architects, business analysts, and project managers

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of overall software development experience
  • 4+ years as a Salesforce Developer
  • 4+ years developing applications on Salesforce platforms (e.g., Force.com)
  • 4+ years programming with Apex, including classes, triggers, extensions, asynchronous processing, and unit testing
  • 4+ years developing Visualforce pages, including controllers, JavaScript remoting, HTML, CSS
  • 4+ years consuming HTTP web services and APIs (REST, SOAP, etc.)
  • 2+ years developing on Salesforce Lightning Framework
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce development best practices, design patterns, and mitigating platform limits
  • Ability to problem solve, triage and troubleshoot complex Salesforce Implementations
  • 2+ years using JavaScript to control browser behavior, dynamic HTML, and DOM events
  • 2+ years with Git, source code branching and pull requests
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of when to leverage declarative solutions over Apex & Lightning Web Components
