The Payments FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) team is a key partner and enabler of the Payments organization managing ~$10B in transaction expenses. The team is responsible for helping the business partners meet key objectives and KPI goals by providing outstanding finance support and business insights. The analyst will play a key role in business case sizing, contract performance tracking and management reporting to help day-to-day business decisions and external partner management. The role requires high technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities, motivation, and exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities
 

  • Support the analytical needs for PayPal transaction expense optimization
  • Create business cases for transaction expense and compliance optimization
  • Tracking the optimization initiative performance and create dashboard
  • Act as the liaison between PayPal and 3rd party vendor to understand ecosystem changes and resolve the billing discrepancies
  • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, and drive process automation


Experience/Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative discipline; Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience performing financial or business analytics in the payments, FinTech or e-commerce horizon.
  • Proficiency in SQL and MS Office products, able to work with large data set, and build complex financial models. Experience with VBA, R or Python and with creating data visualizations in Tableau or other modern visualization tools are a plus
  • Must have good business judgment with demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills a must, including the ability to explain and present analyses
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, cross functional team environment, and have 1 year experience managing a team
