Xoom, A PayPal Service, is revolutionizing the global digital money services market by providing people with an easy, convenient and cost-effective means of sending money worldwide. We offer a secure, fast and inexpensive means of sending money, paying bills and topping up prepaid services across multiple digital platforms to both online and offline recipients in approximately 70 countries and counting around the world. This position ensure we have high quality integrations with our partners. The QA engineer will be responsible for testing various integrations frameworks while working with product and development teams. Additional responsibilities include maintaining automation tests and assisting other engineers with day-to-day business activities.


  • Create test plans from technical requirements.
  • Identify design or implementation faults that negatively impact functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Communicate status and issue effectively to other team members.
  • Participate in Agile development process.
  • Knowledgeable with testing microservices app model.
  • Build and maintain Java automated tests suites.
  • Perform manual testing of new integrations and features when necessary.
  • Deploy and test new software in UNIX test environments.
  • Plan and coordinate software release to Production environments.
  • Research and troubleshoot QA, UAT, and Production issues.
  • Proactively look for opportunity to improve self and business.


  • 3+ years of industry QA experience
  • Experience with Java (Spring a plus)
  • Experience with API and backend testing
  • Source control knowledge (Git a plus)
  • Knowledge with any of the following testing tools a plus (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, JMeter, Cypress)


  • Software Engineering degree or related
