Are you interested in building new features for a highly successful transaction processing platform?  We offer the chance to leave behind legacy systems and build the foundation of the next transaction-processing platform using the latest technology and your own common-sense approach. You'll be building the software used to process payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Working within a team of 2-6 software engineers to develop/maintain software.
  • Working through the analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing and deployment phases of project delivery.
  • Understanding technical design and associated design documentation and participate in design reviews.
  • Execute and report the assigned project tasks over its development cycle.
  • Collaborate with team members in team activities with lateral teams across disciplines and vertical groups, and upwards with project management elements.
  • As part of the delivery team, working with software from cross-domain teams to produce final software build.
  • Ensure the quality of deliveries and ensure conformance to processes and practices.
  • Perform day-to-day activities under the supervision of the team leadership and collaborate with team members in technical and domain areas.
  • Write tests for the existing and newly created code to maintain compatibility
  • Maintain and enhance the existing architectural documentations and create the new one as needed.
  • Participate in code and design reviews
  • Provide suggestions for continuous improvements as necessary.
  • Work effectively with globally distributed teams in multiple time zones

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years industry experience.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of computer engineering and intellectual curiosity to understand the business.
  • Understanding of basic algorithmic techniques, design patterns and best practices.
  • Passion for developing robust, scalable software systems.
  • Highly motivated, goal driven, Can-do approach.
  • Innovative, entrepreneurial, team player, ability to multi-task.
  • Strong OOP skills, ability to analyse requirements and prepare design.
  • Hands on experience with common open-source and Java technologies (Java 8 preferred)
  • Experience with REST API’s, OAuth, Web Services, Unit Testing, Java Build tools.
  • Experience with Spring boot, Spring or any web MVC frameworks.
  • Oracle, SQL, JDBC/ORM, JMS, App servers / Servlet containers, Maven/Git/Continuous integration
  • Demonstrable programming abilities in Java – other languages like C++, Python, AngularJS a plus
  • Curiosity about how things work and the behaviour of finding the answers. Flexible and adapting the changing circumstances, tenacious
  • Should be passionate and  take pride in building systems that are used by millions of users every day.
  • Should have good communication skills

Nice to have: 

  • Payment experience including integrations with Banks, Payment processor, Payment service (online and/or mobile), Settlement and clearing etc.
  • Experience working in agile methodology.
  • Experience working on front end technologies.
  • Good communication skill to global business and technical partners
